The 613 Mitzvot of Maimonides

This is a listing of the 613 commandments in The Law as collected by Maimonides. (This particular version was extracted from Wikipedia on 8 October 2012. It was compared with a collection of the writings of Maimonides, who was a Jewish scholar. Moses , translation by Charles Ber Chavel and Moses ibn Tibbon. The book of divine commandments (the Sefer Ha-mitzvoth of MosesMaimonides) London: Soncino Press, 1940). "Mitzvot" means commandments.

There are several such lists of the traditional number of 613 commandments contained in The Law which differ from each other. This collection by Maimonides is considered on the most authoritative.

We recommend using this resource in conjunction with study of The Law (first 5 books of the Bible) and as an adjunct to the study of the 10 Commandments.
